Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insights on how end-user investments in dedicated cloud as a service (DCaaS) changed during 2021 when compared with the original budgets and how commitment to digital transformation correlates with these changes. Dedicated cloud as a service is one of the fastest-growing areas of the IT market. Demand for DCaaS is driven by organizations that want a cloud experience but require a single tenant solution that offers more control of where resources are deployed (either on-premises or a local service provider facility). These insights were gathered as part of the Wave 7 of the IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, completed in August 2021.
