Abstract

This IDC Market Perspective analyzes the announcements from Salesforce's 2021 Dreamforce event. Salesforce made a number of significant announcements around its various products during the event that will have far-ranging implications in the customer relationship management, customer engagement, and customer experience markets. The breadth of announcements is an indication of the breadth of the Salesforce product line, and Salesforce will need to be clear about its product road map going forward as it continues to add additional technologies like Slack either through acquisition or through internal development.
