On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey presents the results of a recent IDC survey of approximately 500 U.S. and European decision makers responsible for implementing commercially available identity security software products to better understand what's driving their current spending compared with other security investments. To be eligible, all participants confirmed they were currently in the process of evaluating and/or acquiring a new identity security technology.

An objective of this study was to ascertain how COVID-19 has influenced organizations to change their identity security practices and which submarket technologies (identity management, advanced authentication, privileged access management, and governance) were either being added or investments expanded upon to serve employees, partners, and customers.

A second focus of the study was to understand where organizations are in the process of moving identity technology into the cloud (IDaaS) and whether existing technology selections were being used to also identify customers (B2C).
