Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the latest worldwide and U.S. results from the Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey. This analysis compares the responses with print spending trends from when the question was raised in both February and June 2021 surveys, as well as an updated phrasing of the question for the October survey. The results show a marked difference between the global responses and the U.S.–only responses. The worldwide responses continue a largely positive trend for print spending exhibited throughout this year's survey responses. However, the U.S. responses veer in a new direction for 2022. It appears that many of the previously neutral responses from February and June that conveyed a hopeful demeanor for future print spending have shifted toward a more negative outlook in the latest October results.
