Abstract
This IDC study quantifies the U.S. inkjet and toner cartridge market opportunity and provides ink and toner cartridge forecasts for the MFP and printer segments for 2017–2026. Forecasts include shipments, value of shipments, and ASV. Data for 2017–2021 is actual, whereas data for 2022–2026 is projected.
"Like the print hardware markets, the aftermarket ink and toner opportunities demonstrate maturity too. However, the ink and toner cartridge declines are projected to be less volatile than hardware as these supplies' opportunities are dictated by machines in field versus shipment trends. Nevertheless, there are growth opportunities for print cartridges within certain segments.
