Abstract

This IDC Perspective looks at findings from IDC's GRC Maturity Survey, 2021. All organizations are challenged with threats that impact trust perceptions. How organizations respond to various threats and the type of solution implemented will have varying impacts on the organization's ability to maintain trust.

According to Amy Cravens, research manager, IDC's Governance, Risk, and Compliance, "All companies are subject to risk and compliance concerns. It is not whether a company experiences a risk event, but how they are prepared for it that differentiates companies. By responding to negative trust events through proactive risk management technologies, organizations can begin to repair their trust perception."
