Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight provides analysis of the results of IDC's survey of 502 buyers of data as a service conducted in March 2022 about important issues that influence the purchase of external data.

"IDC's survey data shows that the majority of enterprises are using location data in their processes and analyses. This growing market is attracting new vendors all of the time," according to Lynne Schneider, research director, Data as a Service at IDC. "To be successful, location data vendors will need to meet specific buyer preferences to be integrated with software solutions and provide a level of precision and accuracy they can trust."
