Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses the results of an IDC survey of the U.S. physical security technology market, with an emphasis on video surveillance technology, conducted from February to March 2022.The survey consisted of 309 IT and facility security professionals located in the North America and European Union (EU) markets. The survey disclosed that physical security and cybersecurity are now converging, with the convergence taking place first in access control and management. Vendors that wish to be successful in the physical security space will need to expand their product and service portfolios to enable this converged security space.
