Abstract

This IDC Survey examines the results of the Intelligent Digital Workspace Survey, 2Q22. The Intelligent Digital Workspace (IDW) ecosystem emerged as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and accompanying geopolitical and financial disruptions. This first of its kind survey examines the important functions of this new ecosystem, the goals buyers have for their deployments, and what they feel about privacy and appropriate use of the data generated by employee actions.

"The IDW is an emerging ecosystem, created by individuals and enterprises as they try to adapt to new ways of working in an increasingly complex digital environment," said Shannon Kalvar, research director, IT Service Management and Client Virtualization at IDC. "It will not replace the traditional digital workspace but rather enhance and extend it, as old ways of working with documents, images, and data become obsolete."
