Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides a snapshot of end-user assessment of which infrastructure resources — memory, CPU, and/or storage — workloads tend to need the most. While some workload categories, given the variety of tasks they perform, are identified by survey respondents as having heavy needs for both compute- and storage-related resources, others have more distinct characteristics of being memory, CPU, or storage intensive. These insights were provided by enterprise infrastructure professionals as part of IDC's Server and Storage Workloads Survey conducted in March 2022.
