This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights where banks are placing their bet on public cloud. Nearly every bank surveyed is increasing spending on each type of public cloud, according to IDC's 2022 Worldwide Industry CloudPath Survey, and significantly more banks plan to increase public cloud spending in 2022 than in 2021. Cloud migration modernizes digital infrastructure by enabling banks to take advantage of new functionalities while improving IT productivity, operational efficiency, and IT security, among other benefits.
