Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights data from IDC's October 2022 U.S. DevOps Survey concerning developers' use of low-code/no-code development technologies as a share of their overall development activities. An increasing share of developers (22.5%) across all U.S. enterprises say they expect to use low-code/no-code development technologies for the majority of their overall development activities in 2023. This increased use of low code/no code, which is reported by developers in small, medium-sized, and large enterprises, is being driven by the need to increase developer productivity and velocity, to automate workflows, and to improve customer experiences.
