This IDC Survey highlights the results of IDC's 2022 U.S. Commercial Augmented Reality Survey.
The 2022 U.S. Commercial Augmented Reality Survey presents research based on a survey of IT decision makers and line-of-business managers representing a wide range of industries and company sizes. We asked adopters about their current use and plans around the technology, the benefits derived, the challenges faced, and the potential for expanded use in the future.
"A widening percentage of companies are moving to adopt augmented reality (AR) technologies," said Tom Mainelli, group vice president of IDC's Device and Consumer research. "The vast majority of AR adopters are leveraging the technology through mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets as well as purpose-built glasses and head-mounted displays. Collaboration remains the top use case for many, and among those who do cost/benefit analysis, the vast majority find the results very compelling."
