Abstract
This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for the worldwide business use smartphone shipments by operating system and user type (consumer, individual liable, and corporate liable). It is part of IDC's continuing research with respect to mobile devices. Findings in this study are based on information gathered from primary and secondary sources during the past six months.
"While the business use smartphone market is generally less susceptible to the volatility of the consumer smartphone market, inflation and geopolitical stress are expected to lower demand for new hardware investment through 2023," said Bryan Bassett, research manager, IDC's Enterprise Mobility: Workspace and Deployment Strategies program. "Despite this, businesses are becoming increasingly dependent on mobile-centric workflows, meaning that steady smartphone investment will remain a core priority in enterprise."
