This IDC Perspective provides guidance for datacenter investments. While the datacenter portfolio of the future may have less datacenter space owned and operated by the enterprise, the overall compute capacity will be larger, more complex and have an increased number of facilities. Datacenter managers should be investing in people, process, and technology to prepare for that future.
