Abstract

This IDC study presents the worldwide wearable computing device forecast for the 2023–2027 period.

"Having reached a high-water mark in 2021, the worldwide wearables market started to cool off in 2022," points out Ramon T. Llamas, research director for IDC's Wearables team. "2023 will be the start of the rebound with multiple vendors and devices poised to take advantage of replacement cycles with improved feature sets. Likewise, less expensive legacy devices will cater to more price-sensitive users. The end result is continued growth for a maturing market."
