Abstract
This IDC Survey — taken in November 2022 — focuses on smartwatches in the workplace. We polled 82 IT decision makers whose companies have deployed smartwatches to their employees, focusing on acquisition, usage for work process optimization, usage for healthcare, and overall satisfaction.
"Smartwatches have yet to gain a foothold within the enterprise compared with its smartphone, PC, and tablet cousins," says Ramon T. Llamas, research director with IDC's Wearables team. "However, companies have benefited from introducing them into their work processes to streamline operations and communications and for healthcare cost reduction. In the end, they can positively impact the way that companies can do business and help their employees lead healthier lives."
