Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses European public sector organizations' response to the energy crisis. While the energy crisis centers on Europe, it is having significant implications on markets and organizations worldwide, including across the public sector. Together with a once-in-a-generation injection of financing through regional and national COVID-19 recovery funds, there is a perfect storm for accelerating investment in sustainable energy initiatives, including across public sector assets and operations. This document highlights areas in which public sector organizations are investing to manage high energy prices and the implications on IT spending linked to these energy optimization initiatives.
