Abstract
This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for worldwide business use tablet shipments by operating system and user type (consumer, individual liable, and corporate liable). It is part of IDC's continuing research with respect to mobile devices. Findings in this document are based on information gathered from primary and secondary sources during the past six months.
"The unique global market conditions (both social and economic) of the past two years presented a target rich environment for broad and strategic business use tablet deployments alike," says Bryan Bassett, research manager, IDC's Enterprise Mobility: Workspace and Deployment Strategies program. "With immediate demand for new hardware now largely fulfilled, business use tablet deployments are expected to slow through 2027 as device life cycles increase, and IT departments reprioritize mobility software spending."
