Abstract

The past three months have seen more changes to the enterprise network than the past ten years. Businesses around the globe have been forced to quickly pivot, enabling connectivity to employees working from home and securing critical enterprise assets. The enterprise network is at the heart of this pivot and the dramatic and sudden shifting of priorities is changing how enterprises invest in networking technology.

In this webinar, IDC's enterprise network analysts will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the enterprise networking market and define the criteria for future networking priorities. The presentation will include the results of a recent survey of U.S. enterprises as well as the following discussion topics:

  • How investment priorities have changed across key enterprise networking technologies, including Ethernet Switch, WLAN, SD-WAN, UC&C, and Network Management.
  • How enterprise networking professionals have pivoted to support employees working from home, including the biggest challenges and what new technologies are being used. Will enterprises continue using these technologies post-pandemic?
  • How will enterprise networking technologies be adapted to accommodate users' growing dependence on remotely delivered services?
  • Which networking vendors are best positioned to support "new normal" enterprise networking needs?
