IDC Digital Transformation Award Winners 2017 for ANZ Announced

SYDNEY, September 7th, 2017 – IDC Australia / New Zealand has announced the winners of the ANZ IDC Digital Transformation Awards 2017. The awards recognise organisations that have significantly disrupted the market or have transformed it, through the use of digital and disruptive technologies and approaches.

The awards were judged by IDC Australia Research Director Annemarie Kikos and Associate Vice President for Asia Pacific IT Services Linus Lai. The projects went through a rigorous judging process to determine the top Digital Transformer and Digital Disruptor for ANZ out of nominations received from Australia and New Zealand. This included benchmarking the nominated digital transformation project in areas such as Mastery in Technology, Leadership, Omni-Experience, Talent, Adaptive Operating Model and a demonstrated usage of data-driven decision making using the IDC MaturityScape Benchmark Assessment Survey.

“We are very pleased to announce the ANZ IDC DX award winners who clearly showed innovation, leadership and vision,” says Annemarie Kikos, as follows:

  • The Instillery and Fonterra named Digital Transformer of the Year: The Instillery has collaborated with the Fonterra Co-operative Group, a global dairy nutrition company, and their respective digital marketing agencies to conceive and create a multivendor digital project ecosystem that is flexible, scalable and brings standardised project administration, management, and development processes, workflow and governance. The Instillery’s Pipeline Creation Tool (PCT) offers a cloud-based toolset and process framework that includes automated project creation across best practice SaaS tools that encompass the full lifecycle of a digital project’s documentation and admin needs. The tool automates the entire process from creating a client brief through to code deployment and review.
  • Oovvuu named Digital Disruptor of the Year: Oovvuu uses artificial intelligence to navigate every video in the world. Compass, their proprietary AI, reads 300,000 articles by 100,000 publishers in real time and ascertains what they are about. Compass then watches thousands of video clips and full programs from global broadcasters to ascertain their content, and establishes whether they are a match. When a video and an article match, Compass places the video in the article, where it is watched with advertising.

The ANZ winners will be off to Singapore on 28th November to join the other country winners from all around AP to participate in IDC’s The DX Summit and Digital Transformation Awards (DXa) Gala Night, where the regional winners for the award will be announced.
