IDC to Hold Its First-Ever Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Summit 2017

SINGAPORE, November 21st, 2017 – IDC Asia Pacific will launch its inaugural, Digital Transformation Summit and Digital Transformation Awards (DXa) 2017 in Singapore at the Flower Field Hall of Gardens by the Bay on the 28th of November. The summit will feature a mix of conference and innovation lab tours, with an opportunity to hear and network from the region’s digitally-transformed organizations, and the culminating awards ceremony for the regional winners of IDC’s 2017 Digital Transformation Awards.

“We felt the time is right to launch the IDC DX Summit and DX Awards as significant business transformations unfold in the region with the increased adoption of the 10 game-changing technologies1 in the 3rd platform. By the end of 2017, 3rd platform technologies will represent almost 80% of the Asia Pacific (including Japan) ICT spending,” says Daniel Zoe Jimenez, Research Director for Digital Transformation Practice, IDC Asia/Pacific.

IDC has invited distinguished industry leaders to share their experience in undertaking DX which includes Jacqui Hocking - 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30, Founder & CEO, Vision Strategy Storytelling; Steve Lee - CIO & SVP Technology, Changi Airport Group; Tiong Gee Ng - Chairman, Yellow Pages; Ricky Sutton - Founder and CEO, Oovvuu; Raf Rasile - General Manager, Digital Innovation, Fonterra; and Goh Siow Chong - CIO, Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore.

The DX Summit will conclude with the presentation of winners for the regional awarding of IDC’s Digital Transformation Awards (DXa). The first-ever IDC DX Awards aims to recognize organizations in the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan (APeJ) which have achieved discernible and measurable excellence in their DX efforts across one of the five DX masteries, or that have significantly transformed or disrupted the market.

Outstanding DX initiatives from 11 participating countries (Singapore, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines) will be hailed as regional winners in the following categories:
