'IDC Security Roadshow' Returns with Dedicated Digital Edition for Oman, Bahrain & Kuwait
Dubai – Following successful stops in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, the IDC Security Roadshow 2021 continues on Monday, May 24 with a dedicated digital edition for Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait that will address the theme 'A New Security Paradigm in the Face of Uncertainty'. Bringing together pre-eminent technology experts, providers, analysts, and speakers, the event has proven to be the platform of choice for security professionals across the region as they look to keep pace with a threat landscape that’s evolving at a never-before-seen rate.
As the Middle East continues to find its footing in the aftermath of COVID-19, cybersecurity professionals have become instrumental in driving organizational strategy, taking on leadership roles, and securing digital transformation initiatives. And as the number of targeted cyberattacks continues to rise, IDC predicts that global cybersecurity spending will top $143 billion this year, up from $131 billion in 2020.
Frank Dickson, IDC's global vice president of cybersecurity products, will examine the drivers of this increased spend as he presents the event's keynote address, 'The New Normal Requires Trust'. In this session he will explore the impact that rapidly increasing digital transformation is having on security, privacy, and overall trust. "The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digital transformation as companies look to inject technology into business processes to gain efficiencies, deliver empathy at scale to customers, and produce other positive outcomes," says Dickson. "At the same time, the entire architecture of IT has changed with half of spending now coming from line-of-business buyers."
Hosted on an interactive virtual platform, the IDC Security Roadshow 2021 will combine presentations, panel discussions, real-life use cases, and dedicated technology tracks to provide an in-depth look at the post-COVID-19 security market and the biggest challenges facing the region’s governments and businesses across the region. Featuring expert insights from respected industry insiders, the event will explore innovative, up-to-the-minute use cases and outline the key focus areas for organizations looking to minimize their cyber-risk exposure.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to explore IDC's exclusive CIO Masterclass Arena throughout the course of the event. This section of the virtual platform will showcase a series of pre-recorded CISO best-practice presentations, fireside chats, and panel discussions with industry-leading security pioneers from organizations such as IKEA, McDonald's Corporation, Allianz, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT).
IDC's partners for the IDC Security Roadshow 2021 in Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait include Trend Micro as Platinum Partner; Infoblox, Cybereason, SentinelOne, Fortinet, Thycotic, and Veeam as Gold Partners; and Nozomi Networks as Silver Partner.
