Special Keynote: 2023 State of the CIO StudyYogesh Gupta Director – Content & Communities, Foundry India
|
The year of 2022 was another year tilted towards foundational work and getting digital operations in order. CIOs are still balancing the persistent focus on transformation and modernization with a maturing leadership role, embracing responsibilities outside of the traditional IT domain and cementing status as a valued and strategic partner to the business. CIO’s 22nd annual State of the CIO survey by Foundry (an IDG, Inc. Company) was conducted with the objective of understanding how the role of the CIO continues to evolve in today’s business climate and to help define the CIO agenda for 2023. This year’s global study with 837 IT leaders and 201 LOB participants highlights this shift in IT priorities, the impact of the economic climate as well as the CIO’s initiatives to increase cybersecurity efforts and operational efficiency. Listen to Yogesh Gupta deliver a special keynote revealing the findings from 2023 State of the CIO Study: ·
What are ‘top of mind’ technologies, business
challenges, drivers, and adoption within the enterprise for 2023? ·
What are the key activities that CIOs and IT
leaders are focusing on and what will be their priorities for next 3 years? ·
Which are the top five technology and business
initiatives driving IT investments for organisations in 2023? ·
What are the key skillsets in demand to support
digital business initiatives? |

With competition for skilled IT workers getting tighter, it’s more
important than ever for organisations across varied industries to be absolutely
sure they’re spending on recruiting and retaining the right talent. Identifying
which emerging technologies will prove most useful is a challenge, though. However CIOs need to take a call and stay
ahead of changing demand for skillsets to emerge as a futuristic, digital-transformed
organisation. 2023 State of the CIO
Study by Foundry reveals the areas where CIOs need additional headcount
(security, analytics and AI/ML) are also the areas they expect to be the most
difficult to fill. And block chain has jumped from 14th ranked last
tear to #2 this year. Technology has evolved at brisk pace so rapidly in past few years,
multiplied by the post pandemic overcast, that it’s hard to keep track — and
what most is in demand today may be obsolete tomorrow. Hear the live panel discussion to know more about:

As technology continues to take a larger role in corporate
sustainability practices, CIOs can play a key role in driving both business
value and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. Delivering
on the promise of sustainability will require CIOs to work in close
collaboration with other executives to identify the technologies that will help
their company achieve its ESG goals. CIOs are being tasked
to adhere to ESG standards and play a role in selecting clean information
technology. 63% of CIOs say that adhering to ESG standards is an important buying criterion when
reviewing technology vendors/partners as per 2023 State of the CIO Study by
Foundry. In fact, creating and implementing a comprehensive sustainable
technology strategy must now be the core mission of a purpose-driven CIO. While
the path to implementation requires comprehensive analysis and a proactive
approach, a switch to sustainable technology leads to numerous benefits for the
company, its sustainability goals, and CIOs themselves. Hear the

Live Case Study - Solving Business Problems Using ChatGPTNaveen Gulati Head - IT & IS, Policy Bazaar
|
ChatGPT has the prospective to be transformative in the business landscape as it could change the way time and resources are allocated at organisations. Almost like as an assistant to the CIO, the AI bot (ChatGPT) makes it simpler for tech leaders to concentrate on core tasks and strategic interests relating to company policy, growth, and security – the big picture. The CIO’s role will however only increase in importance, from identifying new opportunities with AI, cloud, automation, and more ; and collaborate with other leaders to align company’s strategies on technology investments. ChatGPT can help expedite cybersecurity solutions by identifying and mitigating risks associated with technology thereby ensuring compliance and security with less paperwork and lesser time to identify new methods, resources, and strategies to prevent them. CIOs should start thinking on methods to ride this disruptive wave of Generative AI to bring competitive differentiation for their organizations. Watch a live demo by Naveen Gulati as he accentuates, in the closing keynote on emergence of ChatGPT and its unmissable impact on modern businesses. • How can ChatGPT make the development of applications and solutions faster and more accurate, thereby completely change the DevOps paradigm? • Why should tech leaders should think big on how to ride this disruptive wave of Generative AI to bring efficiencies and competitive differentiation for their organizations? • What are the best practices for CIOs and business leaders to implement generative AI tools for maximum business benefits with minimal investment?
