Africa is a continent that has been leveraging various 3rd Platform aspects for innovation. Organizations have been innovating using mobile, social, cloud, and analytics, and have further been adapting themselves to an ecosystem that is currently undergoing a transformation. As companies in Africa move into the digital era, security will become a necessary component in ensuring resilience. Organizations and IT decision makers are going to have to consider aspects such as compliance and governance while ensuring that employees understand security policies and strategies. In a complex ecosystem, companies will need to consider their risk posture and ascertain the level of intrusion they are ready to sustain.
 
IDC is going to look the organizational challenges that will come with the transformation into a “digital enterprise,” and will identify the aspects that need to be considered by IT security decision makers to ensure they are able to build secure, digital enterprises. Location

The Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg has been selected as the host venue for the 25th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU), comprising membership from over 50 African countries. This will be the second largest Heads of State meeting held at Sandton Convention Centre in its 15 year history, the largest being the World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002.

Sandton Convention Centre is located in Sandton business hub, adjacent to a wide range of accommodation, shopping malls, dining and entertainment option. This, together with its easy access to the Gautrain network and OR Tambo International Airport, are likely to have been factors in the organisers’ selection of the SCC as host venue.
