Digital Transformation: Strategies for Automation, Innovation, and Intelligence

Dubai, November 15, 2018

Overview

In today's world, digital transformation (DX) has attained a macroeconomic scale and impact, becoming the core of what industry leaders do and how they operate. The DX economy is driven by digital-native enterprises. Born in the digital era, these enterprises are disrupting the traditional models and forms of interactions between the customer and the product or service.

In order to succeed in the DX economy, established enterprises must embrace a "digital native" approach to the way they think and act, transforming their organizations through the establishment of core digital competencies in the areas of leadership, relationships, information, operation, and talent.

The digital battlefield is intensifying, and all industries are being disrupted. So join us at the IDC IT Forum 2018 as we equip you with in-depth insights into innovative digital strategies that will help your organization unlock new revenue streams, increase profitability, and revolutionize the customer experience.

Panel Discussion: The CXO Growth Imperative: Innovate, Integrate and Incorporate Technology
Chaired by: Jyoti Lalchandani, Group Vice President & Regional MD- IDC Middle East, Africa and Turkey, IDC

Technological change is the biggest, most disruptive force facing today's corporations. But technology isn’t changing only corporations — it's also changing the job of the CXO, bringing with it the challenge of keeping up with technological development. While there are multiple sources of potentially valuable intelligence, CXOs have to be clear about their priorities and also reconsider the composition of their teams, which must reflect the modern age and be on top of new technology and concepts that tap into the voice of customers, communities, and social media in a digital environment. The way CXOs communicate with the organization and other stakeholders is also changing. And while technology provides valuable new communication channels for any business leader, its use does not come without concerns. This session will explore how CXOs can leverage technology to assess and deliver on evolving customer expectations by implementing customer relationship management systems, interpreting complex and evolving needs of customers through data and analytics, and improving communication and engagement with the use of social media.

Session1: Embracing Digital Transformation with Optimised Identity Access Management

A recent IDC security survey showed many enterprises in Middle East believe they are more secure than they actually are, with identity access management (IAM) identified as the weakest of alll security practices. More than 54% of Middle East organizations take a reactive approach when it comes to IAM, rely soley on administrators to create, modify, and delete accounts using static, siloed process and only sometimes review the access. IDC shares insights and perspective on why and how organizations should build a robust IAM practice in today’s context when enterprises embrace various forms of cloud, mobility and take on the digital transformation journey. The key emphasis is to educate the audience identity is the core of security and a call for action.

Session2: Mutli-Cloud Environment for Digital Transformation through Next Generation Applications

IDC's research confirms that the enterprise datacenter is under pressure. Many enterprise datacenters are experiencing downtime, latency and performance issues. Datacenters are aging and also unable to cope with the new demands being placed on them by digital transformation. At the same time, CIOs are under greater pressure to find strategic uses for the datacenter as well as drive down costs with additional efficiencies through automation. The multi-cloud datacenter environment is becoming the new normal in Middle East. This will only increase with the advent of new next generation applications and the internet of the things. As the multi-cloud environment is adopted, new challenges are being experienced with integration and security.
