Cyber Threat Hunting Program

Tariq Abdullah
Technical Operations Manager, Security, Injazat

Regardless of the cutting-edge security controls in place and the confidence in a given security posture, intrusion attempts cannot be detected 100% of the time. In the physical security domain, for example, an individual could still get inside a facility even though security alarms, locks, and barriers are in place. A security guard patrols the facility, making sure that current security methods are functioning properly and no intruder has managed to gain unauthorized entry. The cyberthreat hunt mission is very similar to this process. This session will examine why it is necessary to keep a watchful eye for signs of network intrusion in order to thwart malicious actions.
