CIO-CFO Collaboration in a Digitally Transformed World

Overview

UAE-based organizations looking to compete more effectively in the local and global markets are rapidly moving to the next stages of their digital transformation (DX) journeys. Businesses in industries such as pharmaceuticals, engineering, F&B, process manufacturing, logistics, and distribution are leveraging the latest technologies to transform their production processes, supply chain operations, and customer engagement to enhance operational efficiency, achieve faster time-to-market, and improve customer satisfaction levels.

Increasingly, these organizations are adopting emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, RPA, and blockchain, and leveraging cloud to enable innovation use cases and accelerate transformation. However, it requires determination to transform into anything that resembles a ‘digital native' organization. To achieve that, organizations need to be able to put together a ‘dream team’ of executives to drive the necessary transformation.

In addition to CIOs, CFOs are key members of that team. The CFO needs to work closely with the CIO to influence ICT investments, drive organization-wide digital initiatives, and digitally transform the finance function. Indeed, enabling close alignment between the CFO and CIO is a critical element in executing a successful digital transformation strategy.

So, join IDC and Sage as we explore the dynamics of CIO-CFO collaboration in the digital age and examine global best practices for driving greater synergies between these two critical functions.
