Overview

Regional governments are increasingly working towards diversifying tourism sectors in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. In the first half of the year, Dubai recorded a 3% increase in visitors reaching to 8.36 million in comparison to 2018*. Similarly, international arrivals to Saudi Arabia are expected to increase 5.6% per year from 17.7 million in 2018 to 23.3 million in 2023**. The increase in the number of tourists will directly impact the hospitality sector, where facility managers and hotel operators are now focused on enhancing the guest experience through the deployment of advanced technology in hotel rooms.

Smart lighting is an integral part of a building’s automated infrastructure paving the way for smarter and more productive buildings. DALI or  Digital Addressable Lighting Interface has traditionally been used in commercial building applications but in recent years has moved into hotel guestrooms because of the decreased price and enhanced functionality.

Introducing Honeywell’s Inncom DALI - a solution designed to reduce energy consumption in hotels – with facility managers and hotel operators increasingly switching to the installation of LED lights across hotels in the Middle East. It is a two-way communication system enabling the digitalization of lighting across hotels for flexible and reliable control.

Defined by international standards, Honeywell’s Inncom DALI is a network based system that controls lighting in smart buildings. According to a recent report, the global smart lighting market is expected to reach $1 million by 2026 and is projected to register a healthy CAGR of 22.1% between 2019-2026***.

The hardwired advanced technology is a successor to 0-10 V lighting control systems and employs a digital transmission signal, minimizing transmission errors. Furthermore, the system allows bi-directional communication between LED drivers and ballasts via DALI controllers - computers equipped with appropriate software or building management systems. Coupled with the INNcontrol Energy Management System supervisor, this gives Honeywell an industry leading package for EMS and Lighting for the guestroom.

Come join us at the roadshow to witness the launch of this business critical IoT-enabled solution for the hospitality sector. In addition to Inncom DALI, attendees at the Middle East roadshows will also experience Honeywell’s technologies across the hospitality sector to equip facility managers, hotel operators and technical engineers with the latest smart solutions.
