Transformation initiatives make it extremely difficult for IT teams to keep digital services accessible and high performing for all end users. Users are everywhere. Applications and their components are everywhere. Data is everywhere and increasingly growing in terms of volume, variety, and velocity. In this highly distributed, dynamic, and hybrid environment, everything is interconnected. However, IT still relies on siloed tools to manage performance. This session will thus take a look at a superior vision for observability that unifies data, insights, and actions and empowers all IT teams to deliver seamless digital experiences. It will reveal how unified observability can help organizations gain control over complex digital ecosystems, increase visibility into employee productivity and infrastructure, improve customer and employee experiences, and streamline and reduce the cost of IT.

Security Simplified: The Balance Between User Experience and User Authentication
Simplicity is key to delivering authentic online security while enhancing the user experience and ensuring seamless security. However, a gap exists between security and customer experience (CX). A brief examination of the history of online authentication shows us that CX is not prioritized when it comes to online security. Moreover, even the simplest forms of security – such as two-factor authentication – have not been recognized as important. Some of the most devastating cyberattacks could have been avoided with the proper measures — which begs the question: how can we ensure a convenient CX when it comes to authentication without compromising data? How can we make protection invisible? The answer lies in cyber-resilience, which refers to the enhanced, multichannel security experience companies can use to protect themselves, and their users, at all times.

You Can’t Secure What You Can’t See: How About Putting Yourself "in the Head" of the Adversary?
Over the years, organizations and administrations have spent a lot of energy on securing their networks against intrusions, with security operations teams deploying equipment and tools to detect, correlate, and respond to security events. While these activities have strengthened their security postures, one problem remains — "you can’t secure what you can’t see." This session looks at how organizations can get visibility into what adversaries are seeing, doing, and planning.

Reimagine the Employee-First Digital Experience
There are myriad examples of digital transformation designed for end customers or end users that are critical to the success of organizations. However, there are limited examples of digital transformation designed to deliver an employee-first experience. Modern employees expect enterprise applications to be as easy and intuitive as consumer applications such as online banking, consumer apps, or social media. According to a recent State of the Global Workplace report, 85% of employees are not engaged or actively disengaged at work, resulting in a $7 trillion loss of productivity every year. It is time organizations started creating and delivering the employee-first digital experience. This session will focus on how organizations can design and deliver exceptional employee experiences using digital workflow, AI, and automation.

Staying in Control of the Growing Attack Surface
While the attack surface keeps growing and complexity continues to rise on the defensive side, it seems to be getting easier for bad actors to launch cyberattacks with the new tools they have at their disposal. Where should organizations focus their energy as they look to simplify security without actually sacrificing visibility, productivity, or flexibility?

This session will take a brief look at the initial days of computing and shed a light on some of the pioneers that envisioned what we now know as cloud computing and AI. This discussion will then fast forward more than five decades to see the how the value of cloud will transcend that of IT. A sample road map of a cloud journey to 2025 will also be highlighted to elaborate on the big picture of cloud computing. The session will then explore the various AI services that are now available, thanks to the cloud computing evolution that has made it possible to process hundreds of use cases that were not previously possible. To demonstrate how would a typical data platform architecture look like on the cloud, a sample cloud blueprint will be presented. The session will conclude with an elaboration on the market trends, playbooks, and lessons learnt in this space.

IDC Keynote: Innovating in a Digital-First World
As organizations strive to recover from the
uncertainty wrought by the pandemic, they are taking a digital-first approach
to build resilience into their operations. The journey to the future digital
enterprise has accelerated, driven by significant investments in new customer
experiences, new digital ecosystem business models, digital supply chains, and
Future of Work initiatives. All of this must be supported by resilient
cloud-enabled digital infrastructure and applications, rapid app development,
digital platforms, data-driven and AI-enabled intelligence, and security and
trust. Strong leadership, an appetite for innovation, and a sound strategy for
addressing regulations will all be key to driving the digital agenda.

The Future of Industry Ecosystems
The Future of Industry Ecosystems
The movement to new industry ecosystem models is happening now. The platform-sharing economy was the first step toward this open way of working with partners across multiple industries. Industry ecosystems are critical for success in the digitally transformed, disrupted world we live in today because the complexity of products, supply chains, digital experiences, and changing market and consumer needs are too great for any one organization to address on its own.

Leveraging Digital to Anticipate Customer Demand in the New Economy
Advances in technology are reshaping competition and value creation in every industry. Customer demand is shifting faster than many organizations can react, and as companies consider their operating paradigms for the future, formulas for past success often matter less than they ever have. How should digital leaders approach this challenge in 2021?
