Reimagining the Future of Government in the Era of Digital Transformation
The mission of national governments is to provide effective services to citizens, residents, tourists, and visitors while improving outcomes for both constituents and the governments themselves. Governments across the region are increasingly deploying emerging technologies and innovations to provide efficient information and services while protecting, sustaining, and enhancing societal and quality-of-life outcomes. In line with this, a recent IDC survey found that 33% of government CIOs in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa are currently deploying or exploring AI and machine learning applications, while 32% are prioritizing robotic process automation over the next 12-18 months with the aim of driving innovation and delivering world-class services.
Those governments that have accelerated digital investments and implemented national transformation strategies are expected to be more resilient to potential shocks and long-term stresses. To this end, the region’s government executives are embracing innovative digital technologies to make intelligent, transparent policy decisions that deliver seamless services to citizens and businesses.
The annual IDC Government Congress is the year's most anticipated gathering of government and public sector transformation experts. The 2022 edition will delve into a range of today’s most pressing topics, presenting essential guidance on the use of chatbots and data intelligence to personalize services and exploring strategies for accelerating digital innovation while protecting privacy and fostering digital sovereignty.

Improving Public Sector Efficiency with Analytics for Everyone’s Benefit: How Leaders in Public Sector Organisations are Overcoming Key Challenges?
Karam Haddad
Key Account Executive, Tableau
Leaders in Public Sector organisations are under more pressure than ever before to increase performance and drive efficiency. They’re expected to do more with less as governments seek both cutbacks and better value for money. They’re having to manage their teams’ recovery post-pandemic against a backdrop of changing work practices and they’re striving to become more citizen-centric in the midst of all this. The only way to do all of that is through leveraging the right data at the right time; it’s clear that future challenges can be overcome through the smart use of data and adoption of an approach that is agile and adaptive when and where it needs to be.

Elevating Citizen Experience with WhatsApp Business Platform
Private-sector businesses are raising the bar for customer experiences as a result of the growth of e-commerce, apps, and other always-on digital services. The promise of seamless, connected experiences is becoming more and more common, but citizen services are lagging behind and frequently unprepared to fulfill it. Federal governments are deploying more decentralized computing infrastructure because of the ability to process data spatially closer to its source. Through quicker, safer, and more cost-effective resource allocations, this will not only revolutionize national government decision-making but also foster more individualized interactions with citizens on the margins. At Infobip, we are reimagining how people, data, and processes come together to create value and becoming more intelligent are key components of our vision and capabilities for better experiences.
