CIO Leadership Roundtable

Fragile Markets, Agile Organizations

Overview

So far in 2023, the roads have been muddy and uneven, presenting several hurdles including worries about recession, hybrid working, quiet quitting, continual digital transformation to replace legacy tech, cybercrime-as-a-service, and all the hype around artificial intelligence. This is especially true in the technology sector, where CIOs are rapidly adjusting their strategies to keep up with changing economic variables.

Among the major challenges they face is the pressing need to manage technology-change imperatives — adding new capabilities to meet shifting customer requirements, managing skills gaps, adding automation to improve both business and IT productivity, and working to control the overbudget cloud spending that so many organizations experienced during 2022.

This timely event will explore how the role of the CIO has become even more critical as they draw up and implement technological innovation strategies. Senior IDC analysts, tech executives, and thought leaders will discuss the challenges facing CIOs as they work to adjust to economic turmoil and other variables — establishing standards and rules, overseeing technology use, developing change-leadership strategies, and driving collaboration with line-of-business peers to maximize efficiencies through smart technological investments and projects.
