The threat landscape and attack surface area is continuously evolving and expanding. As a result, organizations across the globe are challenged with mitigating cyber-attacks every second of every day. CISO’s have a lot on their plate, from dealing with a security skills shortage to running continuous assessments, developing an ideal security framework, protecting critical data, enforcing security policies and improving overall security posture. At the same time, the incorporation of GenAI with cyberthreats makes the role of the security team even more difficult. Cyber-attacks are coming in at an alarming rate which often causes major strain on the security team. However, the cybersecurity of an organization should not be dependent solely on the security team. In fact all employees are risks to the organization. Any employee can fall victim to malware and have their login details stolen. This may create all sorts of havoc within a network. It is therefore vital to have the correct tools in place, such as a zero trust model, to reduce the chances of a successful cyberattack against the organization.
