Abstract

This IDC PeerScape explores a critical component of building a DX learning strategy: guiding principles of effective learning strategy. While the operating model, content, technology, and measurement practices are obviously important, the guiding principles are both the overarching beliefs and the foundational principles that reflect the characteristics that will make the learning program effective in an enterprise or a group. These principles are often based on adult learning theory and good management practices and consider organizational constraints and culture to help bracket or guardrail the potential solutions to those that will ultimately be accepted and successful in the organization.

"If organizations select guiding principles with purpose, they will become an important decision filter to help guide critical decisions during your digital transformation," says Cushing Anderson, program vice president, IT Education and Skills for Digital Transformation.
