Abstract

This IDC Survey looks at data related to at-home workers, including ongoing technology requirements to support those workers. Though many organizations in the United States are still focused on cost optimization, almost one-third are making plans and investments for the "next normal." That "normal" will include a large number of at-home workers. IDC's Future of Work research team conducted a survey in the United States to understand organizations' plans regarding at-home and returning workers as they recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey included 100 decision makers in line of business and IT who influence spending for technology associated with worker productivity and worker experience for their organization. This presentation looks at plans for supporting at-home workers.
