Abstract

This IDC Perspective looks at three areas in which talent acquisition (TA) and the technology surrounding it will forever be changed: artificial intelligence (AI), recruitment marketing (RM), and talent intelligence (TI). The COVID–19 crisis has displaced and furloughed millions of workers throughout the world.

"Talent acquisition has been waiting — and in some instances asking — for time and requisitions to slow down. The time has arrived, and the opportunity is here for the TA function to rise to the challenge and become the strategic function it has always sought to be. Organizations will rely on and monitor recruiting successes and challenges as the world shifts into the next new normal," says Megan Buttita, research director of Emerging Trends in Talent Acquisition for IDC.
