DIGITAL FORUM | United Kingdom | September 24, 2020

Overview

Due to the current global situation, IDC have taken the decision to make the DevOps Conference that is taking place on 24th September a Digital Forum. This decision was taken as the safety of our sponsors, delegates and staff is paramount, and our communities health should be placed above all else.

Across Europe DevOps delivers results, enabling organizations to significantly improve performance while delivering business value. Everyone has heard that SW is eating the world, so the next challenge for every organization is how to operate more like a software company to rapidly deliver digital innovation. Why? Because more than half of the European economy will be driven by digital products and services in the next three years. As organizations evolve to support future enterprise needs the role of DevOps evolves and expands. 2020 is all about automation, with a core focus on injecting automation into the overall DevOps pipeline as we see the shift from continuous integration pipelines to DevOps assembly lines.

To excel organizations must pull on all the levers of process, technology and cultural change. By 2021 80% of European organizations will adopt DevOps but only 10% will excel in terms of accelerated performance and delivery cycles. Cultural inertia is a core stumbling block. To enable DevOps to become business-as-usual, organizations must re-think how products/services are funded, governed and compliant, but also consider tool complexity, culture, organizational goals and sourcing models.

There must be a balance between technology investments such as API management, open source repositories, security integration, modern app architectures with investments in organizational change, training and skills development.

Join us on September 24th to discuss the below topics:

  • Scaling DevOps: Optimizing for Innovation at Scale
  • DevSecOps
  • AIOps
  • Organizational Re-Design and Change Management
  • From CI Pipelines to DevOps Assembly Lines
  • Open Development Culture/Unique Cultural Identity
  • Emerging Software Ecosystems
