Overview

How do you drive resilience in a post-COVID world for business to survive?

For the past 12 months many organisations have been in reaction mode — focused on optimising their operations and businesses to respond to unprecedented change.

Businesses made quick decisions to adapt to remote and virtual work while digitally transforming customer engagement models. The compromises and corporate decisions affected hundreds or thousands of employees and customers — but these decisions were not deeply scrutinised, tested and analysed in terms of the implications they might have on the app and infrastructure landscape.

As we move forwards in 2021 attention turns to future-proofing the organisation and ensuring that the business and operating models are viable in the future. There is an urgency to address better solution planning and analysis, aimed at remedying and optimising quality of application access, security, costs and the technical debt burden on the IT landscape. The current crisis is an important catalyst in getting organisations to rethink their operating models, organisational design and changes that will augment digital capabilities and competitiveness in the long term.

Successful organisations are innovating themselves out of their current situation, with software delivery and engineering teams in the background now influencing the direction of the company. The big question now is how to align the organisation to succeed. The focus must be on how we can enable our teams to deliver at the speed and pace of change required in an environment that provides guardrails and not guidelines.

On April 21 at 10am, join an IDC webinar, co-hosted with NGINX, to discuss how we can drive digital innovation resilience and accelerate business value delivery. The webinar will discuss:

• How to design for scalability and speed: identifying the innovation change agents
• Accelerating cultural transformation: "culture as a platform" and what this means
• How to enable the business to deliver business value: IT shifts from a cost centre to a profit centre
