Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight details responses regarding the top factors considered by small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) as impacting their digitalization journey. This IDC spotlight aims to show how SMBs across different industries perceive cybersecurity threats to their businesses. Security becomes a key focus area for SMBs in the APJ region as they deploy innovative technologies to future-proof their businesses from disruptions such as inflation, lack of skilled labor, and recession. Deploying new technology solutions to digitalize business operations and roll out new service offerings can make SMBs increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks. The data is from IDC's 2022 Asia/Pacific Future SMB Survey fielded in February 2022.
