This IDC study focuses on sovereign cloud in the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) region that is becoming increasingly important due to growing concerns about data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. This report discusses the trends, business value, and factors that users should consider in the adoption of sovereign cloud. It includes profiles of select vendors with sovereign cloud offerings in the APEJ region.
"Sovereign cloud adoption is trending and organizations will continue to increase spending on this cloud model to address business requirements beyond regulations-focused ones such as operational resilience," says Daphne Chung, research director for Cloud Services and Software, Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan). "As both a complex and potentially expensive expenditure, organizations need to consider the value proposition of the technologies offered by various suppliers and consider how these align to business outcomes and current technology architectures and requirements," she adds.
