Takuya Uemura is a Market Analyst of IDC's Japan IT Services Research Group, based in Tokyo. In this role, he is responsible for the analysis of IT services market in Japan. His main area of research involves system integration, system solution, outsourcing, and support services. He also contributes to custom projects based on the IT services market analysis.

Prior to joining IDC Japan, he worked as a researcher for more than 5 years at a Japanese research firm where he was responsible for market research of IT and telecommunications market and managed various projects including custom research projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Waseda University, Japan.
