This IDC Tech Buyer Presentation highlights some of the key topics discussed at the 13th edition of the IDC European Utilities Xchange (IDCUEX), in Frankfurt, Germany, on March 11 and 12, 2024. For the occasion, IDC Energy Insights focused on "Utilities' Power to Change: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," exhibiting how utilities' past reinvention has put them in the driver's seat of the energy transition and economic resilience.
The two-day event was attended by around 40 European utility executives from 18 countries, representing 35 utilities and energy services companies (ESCOs). Through keynote presentations, fireside chats, workshops, roundtable discussions, and more, the community delved into the energy transition, sustainability, innovation in asset operations, data-related challenges and imperatives, and technological innovations, including with the hot topic of the year — GenAI.
