As research manager for the European Enterprise Server Group, Giorgio Nebuloni provides market analysis for the EMEA region, focusing on enterprise computing and datacenter topics. His research areas span from HPC to datacenter infrastructure at large cloud service providers, from SSDs to CPU architecture. In this respect, he has recently been focusing on adoption trends for converged and integrated systems and has contributed to IDC's worldwide taxonomy efforts in defining density-optimized servers.


Based in Germany, Nebuloni coordinates research activities in the server group, and is responsible for compiling and overseeing market data published in the IDC EMEA Server Tracker and Forecast for the European region. In addition to that, he works in close cooperation with the IDC consulting team, helping clients plan their campaigns and position new products for the European market through surveys, workshops, and customer presentations. Nebuloni has often been quoted in leading publications including Die Zeit, CIO.de, Computerworld, Computerwoche and Zdnet, and he has spoken at several IDC events on enterprise technology topics.


Before joining IDC, Nebuloni worked as a technical journalist for a B2B magazine in Milan, primarily covering topics related to IT infrastructure. Nebuloni is a native Italian speaker with full command of English and German.
