Welcome to FinTech 100’s 10th year!

IDC Financial Insights, in association with American Banker and Bank Technology News, will evaluate the revenues of the leading global technology and service providers to the financial services industry in order to construct the FinTech 100 and Enterprise 25 rankings.

The 2013 ranking will categorize and evaluate technology providers based on calendar year revenues from financial institutions for hardware, software or services. Two categories of companies are ranked:

FinTech 100 – includes vendors that derive more than one-third of their revenue from financial institutions.

Top 25 Enterprise Companies in FinTech – includes enterprise companies serving multiple industries that derive less than one-third of their revenues from financial institutions.

Revenue from sales of network, telecommunications, electronic exchanges, and data services is EXCLUDED. Firms such as market data providers or credit bureaus that derive revenues from excluded categories, but also have revenue tied to software, hardware, or services, are considered in these rankings. For these data providers, the revenue attributed to data is used to qualify the provider to meet the one-third hurdle yet only the qualifying portion of revenue is included in the ranking.

American Banker, Bank Technology News and IDC Financial Insights partner with the William Mills Agency, one of the nation's largest public relations firms serving the financial industry. They are available to help vendors in all regions promote their ranking and get the most out of the publicity at BAI's Retail Delivery as well as throughout the coming year.

The research directors at IDC Financial Insights, the editors of American Banker, Bank Technology News, and the management team at the William Mills Agency thank you for your interest in the FinTech 100.
