Da Rold provides research and market analysis on key vertical trends and opportunities in the software, hardware, and services markets. Specific research areas include growth of vertical markets, opportunities for companies in target segments, and various business models.

Prior to joining IDC in 2005, Da Rold worked at 3Com Corporation as a market analyst, providing senior management with qualitative and quantitative market analysis and forecasts, as well as competitive intelligence, focusing in particular on channel intelligence pertaining to ICT technologies.

Da Rold graduated cum laude in business studies at Bocconi University in Milan, with a major in international management.
