Thomas Zhou is a Senior Research Manager in Enterprise System and Software Research at IDC China. He is responsible for leading the enterprise system research team. His research scope covers servers, storage and other enterprise hardware markets. He tracks the markets and provides consulting services regarding sales, marketing, and product strategies for IT vendors.
Thomas is also responsible for the implementation of IDC ETAS (Emerging Technology Advisory Services) programs in China. This includes many hot topics such as cloud computing, green IT, next generation data center, and virtualization.
Thomas is also involved in customized consulting research projects which include channels research, high-performance computing, digital video surveillance, etc.
Thomas has a strong IT technical and consulting background. Aside from the enterprise systems market, he is also an expert in telecom business operation support systems, CRM systems, call centers, business intelligence systems and other related research.
Prior to joining IDC, Thomas worked for several leading IT companies in China as a R&D engineer, project manager and independent business consultant.
Thomas graduated from the Beijing Information Technology Institute in 1997. He majored in computer science and technology. He holds an M.A. of Computer Engineering from China Science and Technology University.
