IDC Security Forum From Secure to Trusted: A Journey to Digital Leadership

HYBRID Event | May 20, 2021

Overview

timing

This decade has already provided many lessons. One is that the mantra “never let a good crisis go to waste” could have been written for the cybercriminal fraternity. Another is that the concept of digital trust is rapidly becoming a business imperative in the digital era. At the heart of this all, as always, is security: the critical barrier between data integrity and compromise as a fundamental building block for digital trust. But trust encompasses so much more. From privacy and compliance to sustainability; from ecommerce to trusted ecosystems; and from ethics and transparency to brand reputation and loyalty. Engendering digital trust is a business imperative, but it requires leadership and governance from board level to ensure that it becomes part of the very fabric of the business.

Denis Maslennikov

2020 drove accelerated DX and shift of transactions from physical to digital. Success in the digital era will be trust-based, which can take a long time to build and is easy to lose. What is the trust between the organization and its employees? Between the company's partners and the clients? Security is definitely a key risk-related pillar. Privacy and compliance are also critical. At the same time, we should not forget that ethics and corporate social responsibility are also areas of focus and play an important role. To become a reliable business not only in the physical but also in the digital requires a focus on various aspects, but without trust these fundamental relationships are unlikely to flourish.

Threats are becoming more sophisticated, and defenses are becoming more vulnerable. Large companies, especially the financial sector, industrial sector, telecom, pharmaceuticals, are required to take care of the security of the infrastructure, especially if you have:

• A large stream of incidents that is continuously growing. At the same time, there are few human resources.

• Lack of time: small incidents do not leave time for more significant and interesting tasks

• Narrow context: a few days to collect data and investigate the incident, and no automation to process it.

How to connect processes, technologies, incidents and people in one bundle – will tell the representative of Axoft, Savchenko Konstantin.
