Research Manager, Software, Central and Eastern Europe
Based in IDC's Prague office, Jiri Novotny joined IDC CEMA in April 2009 as a member of the Software Department. As a research analyst, he contributes to gathering and analyzing data on software markets of Central and Eastern Europe, conducts primary and secondary research covering the software market in Czech Republic, contributing to annual studies on security and to quarterly trackers. In addition to his research responsibilities, Novotny is responsible also for many data management tasks of IDC CEMA's software database.
Prior to joining IDC, Novotny worked at the Czech University of Life Sciences as a lecturer in management courses. He also worked as an analyst for IIE Prague, where his responsibilities included primary and secondary research of the Czech educational system.
Jiri Novotny holds a Master's degree in economy and management from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. In addition to his native Czech, he speaks English.
