This IDC study presents a view of worldwide artificial intelligence (AI) life-cycle software revenue broken down by vendor for the historical year 2022.
"Enterprise organizations focused more diligently on MLOps in 2022, attempting to reap the benefits of their AI investments by putting more models into production," says Kathy Lange, research director, AI and Automation Software research at IDC. "Greater automation within the AI life cycle to reduce manual handoffs and increase collaboration across skill sets will be critical to increasing model velocity. Along with technology, trust is among the most significant barriers to AI adoption. MLOps methodologies provide a solution for the growing need for greater transparency and explainability of data and model results to promote confidence in AI/ML–based applications."
