Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines data from IDC's November 2023 PaaS Decision Maker and Business Value Survey concerning the extent to which organizations make use of open source technologies to develop software (for more details, see 2024 Cloud Platform Services and PaaS Decision Maker Survey, IDC #US51139824, January 2024). The survey shows that most organizations leverage open source technologies extensively in the software development life cycle, a trend which is likely to continue given ongoing demand for new applications and functionality.
